A reviewer by the name(KENNEDY TAREOTU) for Marshup africa/America made a review about Yemi Alade and this is what he thinks (Yemi Alade I can agree she is a vocalist with a cool range, but apart from this she is a total jargon in music composition and song arrangement. The fact she is the most popular female Act this year is due to the fact that no female Act this year could compare to her popularity with Tiwa Savage having a large Sabbatical, but every major female Acts from Omawunmi, to waje, to Asa, Tiwa Savage and even new emerging Act Dija have shown they can still do a professional song and change Genre and still be finely arranged, unlike our famous Yemi Alade that can only sing on one style and sound averagely professional and nearly unarranged in vocal rendering, jamming vocals on each other, with her best sound to be ‘KISSING’.

She hasn’t been able to do any song without an instrumentation like this. She has definitely failed in the aspect of song writing, so we can hear most of her poor arrangement of songs but still feel the vibe, it’s all about that to us, but on stage, no regular drum line, just piano and a slow professional Genre, Yemi Alade would be a flop you might not want to watch.

She is totally yet to show she is a professional vocalist with skills and a professional song writer, at least every Act with a great vocals like Wande Coal, Iyanya, Tiwa Savage, Waje e.t.c has shown that, I believe she is far away from being in the same level in Vocals, professionalism, skill and Genre style with these Acts.
