Zaria Massacre: Nigerian Military set up by Colonialists to Terrorize Citizens--Falana HR Activist

Wednesday, 23 December 2015 07:54

Nigerian Lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, commented on the ChannelsTv breakfast show Yesterday morning that he was seriously disappointed that the Nigerian Presidency had thus far failed to condemn the undue massacre of civilians in Zaria.

At least 200 and by some accounts as many as 1000 Shia Muslims were massacred by the Nigerian army under command of Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Buratai on December 12th to 13th.

Femi Falana said that he was happy to see that President Buhari joined the world in condemning the France massacre but has refused to do so to this serious massacre at home.

He explained that the Nigerian Police calls itself a “force,” whereas in other countries it is called a “department.” He explained that the army views civilians as “bloody civilians,” and as such massacres civilians at every opportunity as the colonialist trained them: to terrorize and extort citizens.

He said the same attitude was experienced in Odi massacra, Zaki Biam, in Zaria wiht the Shia and in Igbo states recently during the Radio Biafra protests.

Falana recommended that while the Federal government alone paid compensation when the government loses in court cases and pay damages, the officers must also be charged to pay out of the damages to instill a new mentality and sense of responsibility in the nation’s security agencies.

He further said “Human rights” courses were lacking and must be introduced into Nigerian military schools.

Falana has started shooting from the hip. He is now playing politics with Nigeria s security. He lacks the spirit of discernment to know the difference between the France mishap and the local one in which a notorious terrorist assembled his gangs to impede the movement of a whole Chief of Army Staff on a necessary course of duty. I just wonder. If Falana had gotten the Ministry of Justice Job, is this how he would be laundering Nigeria s image and security to ISIS, CIA, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Saksakies etc? Has he not heard or read the Saudi King s advice to Buhari himself that those in Saria blocking the Military are terrorists? Even if Saksaky and his group merely booed the Army Chief, they are guilty and must be dealt with. This group in Saria burned former VP, Sambos, house s many times. They blocked Buhari s passage on his way to Daura and almost killed him. They blocked ElRufais way sometimes ago. I am certain that they were the same group that attacked Jonathan s campaign in Jos. December deadline is remaining eight days to wipe out bokoharam from the North East and Saksaky is reorganizing a new group to take over from where bokoharam is leaving and some one is running his mouth against the Nigerian security any how? What a Treachery!!!!
