I'm a muslim and I don't drink alcohol, I appreciated him but I told him jokingly told him that he forgot I don't drink so he said maybe I'll give my friends that drink. But I still told him thank you for the gesture. You give gifts that people would like not throw away.
Just say you want to insult me and my religion.

I heard the Sarduana of Sokoto congratulating Christians on Xmas celebration as well.
That is even more a welcome development.

Thing is, Nigerians are generally know for their religious moderation and respect for one another/s religion .... except that the POLITICIANS are always trying to use Religion to divide us, for their own selfish ends.

Anyoen who is not ignorant knows that the "concept of God/Allah" is an all powerful celestial being who is intelligent enough and strong enough to fight his own "battles", if he chooses to fight .......... and it is foolishness to even attempt to fight or take a life, in the futile attempt to fight on God's behalf.
Those are "human failings" and should be avoided.

Let all of us say "NO", to any form of INTOLERANCE.
Respect for each other and each other's view and opinion is Key.

I remember when during our sallah we give all our Christian neighbour's food and during Christmas all our Christian neighbours gives us also food.. that's love and it's only done by Yoruba Muslims.

When our Muslims neighbours celebrate Sallah we join them (I have been doing that with a childhood friend of mine now for over 35 years! I just dey chop Ram dey go nii ) ... and when we celebrate Chirtsmas or Easter, they come and celebrate with us too.

That way, we dont give a hoot about the hatred that some "Leaders" are preaching so as to divide us, create enmity between us and then use us against ourselves.

We just need to be respectful of one another. You might not like me, but please respect my views as l would respect yours.
