The Ebonyi State Police Command says it has arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly raping nine children aged between six and 10.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the suspect, a father of three, allegedly carried out the act in Ezza South Local Government Area of the state, where he lived in the same compound with the victims.

The Ebonyi command’s Public Relations Officer, George Okafor, confirmed the arrest, adding that the matter was under investigation.

“The parents of the victims have, however, failed to bring them for proper medical investigation; we expect them to have done that for long.

Okafor promised that the matter would be pursued to its conclusion, adding that the man would be arraigned after the conclusion of investigations.
