TITHE

Hold on before you ignore. You may have asked questions about Tithe like "Is paying tithe in the Bible?", "Does the Bible actually say ten percent is what to pay?", "Is paying Tithe in the New Testament?", "Is it only money that can be tithed?, if no, how can i pay tithe of things that are not money?", "Does God really demand tithes from us?", "Is it a must to pay tithe?". I have scriptural answers to all these questions, according to the grace bestowed upon me by God. I will not say here something that you will not find in the Bible.

Tithe is a must. You must pay tithe. You are to pay ten percent of your income or increase, according to the Bible. Tithe is scriptural. Paying tithe is in the New Testament, as it in in the Old Testament. It is not only money that can be tithed. You can and must tithe material things, as found in Bible. God really demands tithe from us. Now let us go into the scriptural backings.

In Leviticus 27 God talks about Tithe. God gave the children of Israel some commandments about tithe. First, God told them to pay the tithes of their land, fruits and animals. God noted that ten percent of these things should be paid: Leviticus 27:30-32. The issue is that they must pay tithes of all their increase or income, regardless the form. See this: Leviticus 27:28 "Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD". The phrase "Notwithstanding no devoted thing" means notwithstanding the form of the thing (which is sealed by God as devoted for tithe) Malachi 3:10 also says, "Bring ye ALL THE TITHES into the storehouse..." All these say that not only money one can or must tithe. Now i will show you how to tithe things that are not monetary.

You are to find out or estimate the monetary worth of a material thing(e.g clothe, house, car, etc.) given to you as a gift from someone. Then calculate the monetary ten percent of the estimated gift and pay it to God. Gifts are your increase, just like the fruits, the herd, the flock and the land of the children of Israel. So, you must pay their tithes. Look at this: Leviticus 27:16 "And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver", Leviticus 27:15 "And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his." This vs 15 is talking about adding 5 percent to the former estimated 10% of the house value, if the person wants to take back his house and replace it with money, (in other words, he is changing the tithe form)

"Is paying Tithe in the New Testament?" Yes, it is in the New Testament. Jesus speaking in Mathew 23:23 said, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone" New International Version "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former" In this way, Jesus noted that is important to pay tithe. Jesus did not disapprove it, though Justice, Mercy and Faith is more important as commandments to practice. Jesus also said, "Give to Caeser what is Caeser's, and to God what is God's" Mathew 22:21.

God really demands tithes from us as Christians. It is a commandment that you MUST obey. If God could say to the children of Israeli that they have robbed Him by not paying their tithe, and that they are, therefore, cursed, then you should know that it is a must. Don't be deceived by some so called men of God who tell their congregation that tithe payment is not a must or it's not required in the New Testament. If man curses you, God can deliver you. But if God curses you, who can deliver you?, Nobody. So, pay your tithe and be blessed, rather than be cursed. God says he will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you a blessing that you won't have enough room to receive them, Malachi 3:10. The blessing there is not only talking about material blessings, but it also includes ideas, wisdom and anointing to make wealth and succeed in all you do
