Awka - Senator Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra Central senatorial zone in the Senate has denied joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Vanguard.
Ekwunife, whose election was recently annulled by the Court of Appeal, said she is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), contrary to insinuations in some quarters that she had defected to the APC.
Ekwunife also refuted claims that the court has disqualified her and the PDP from contesting the March 2016 fresh poll in the senatorial zone.
She noted that neither her nor the PDP was disqualified from the contest.
Ekwunife stated that the PDP had fixed January 9, 2016 for its party primaries, saying that she was confident that she would still fly the party’s flag to contest the election.

It's two things that is involved. 1 either she and her lawyer do not understand the pronouncement of the court 2 they are deliberately playing blind. The court ruled that pdp has no candidates as at the time the elections was won and lost,no prove of any primaries the trademark of impunity that characterised the party in 2015election here she talking of primary in 2016. The rerun order by court is between parties that present candidates as at 2014 when nominations of candidates has closed.
