An Arab activist Says his Twitter account was suspended after Twitter Administrator mistook him for ISIS Leader. Iyad El-Baghdadi said his Twitter account was suspended for about half hour.


He has more 70,000 Twitter followers and frequently mocks ISIS.

Twitter recently update its rule on ‘Abusive Behavior and Hateful Conduct’ in other to protect its users. The Company says users are not allowed threaten or promote terrorism. El-Baghdadi told BBC that Twitter said he Violated its rule but not actually specifying the offence. He accused Twitter of being racist.

He Tweeted:

“I don’t think a single Arab country exists that doesn’t have a family with the surname El-Baghdadi,”

He added that the company should be more transparent about why and how people are suspended.
