Who cares if you win a local award like Headies as long as you do great music? I can't remember ever respecting an artiste because he has won an award in Nigeria... and we do not think that any of the fans care as well as long as you make them dance their sorrows away. does R-Kelly's disappointing outing at the Grammy makes him lesson an R&B king? Where are the likes of Skuki who once won same award?


In as much as we really admire the hardwork and music of Olamide's YBNL artiste and especially Lil Kesh' phenomenal hits, we have got to say that Olamide has vituperated too much in the last hours over the lost of his artiste in this year's Headies Next Category to Don Jazzy's artistery, Reekardo Banks. What's his rants even all about? Has he been ranting because the fans voted more for Reekardo Banks to win or because he thinks that the Headies Awards organising committee compromised by collecting money from Don Jazzy to give the award to Reekardo?

Our take on the issue is this, if winning the award is strictly by merit garnered by fans' votes then why should Olamide be mad when the fans have made their choice? Without these fans, you are nobody. Earlier today, we saw an old tweet of Davido admonishing Olamide to pull a 'Kanye' if Lil Kesh is not given the award.

We all know that Davido and his crew are very close friends of the YBNL, now if Olamide thinks that Lil Kesh has been robbed probably because he thinks that Don Jazzy paid for the award, why not ask David if he paid any money before he won same category in 2012?
