As part of the efforts of President Buhari's administration to revive Nigeria's economy, which is Africa's largest, he will on Tuesday hold talks with the head of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde who arrived Abuja today. Ahead of her trip, Lagarde said in a press statement that : “Nigeria is working hard to improve its business environment, promote opportunities for growth in the private sector, and strengthen social cohesion, all areas where the government has an important role to play.I look forward to productive meetings with President Buhari and his colleagues as they address important economic challenges, most importantly the impact of low oil prices”. Ms. Lagarde will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, legislators, other senior leaders, along with business leaders, prominent women, and representatives of civil society. The Finance Minister Mrs. Kemi Adeosun and CBN governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele welcomed Lagarde at the international airport.
