Happy new year to all nairalanders. We just started the construction of a twin two bedroom bungalow in cross river. Have learnt so much from spyder, haji muftua, jarus, and lot of other members. So I have an engineer who comes once in a while and also am experienced Builder and his team. I am the site manager, I buy the materials and pay the the workers. Been a part of nairaland has paid off.

Following....please is the 3,500 blocks meant for just the foundation or for the entire building? Please we will benefit more if you can tell us in details as you have been doing, how many blocks used for each segment.
Re: Construction Of A Twin Two Bedroom Bungalow. by beansandgarri(f): 4:03am On Jan 09, 2016
The 3500 blocks will not be enough for the project. I intend to do this project in phases because of funds and time. This project is situated in calabar and I where I am based is 4 hours away from site.

Phase 1
Excavation to dpc.
The excavation was done at 3 meters since its a bungalow and the dpc built up to 6 coaches because the land is table but not even. Since the land is not swampy. I decided to do a capping on the dpc and the German floor will be done later.

I cant really say how many blocks are used because I did not count. However the 3500 blocks might not complete the project cuz of the hight of the foundation which is 6 coaches high.

Well done madam...
This your moniker funny sha....

Were the 30tons of gutter sand and 4trips of sea sand also used for the block making? If yes, were there some left? Because the total combining the sharp, gutter and sea sand is almost going to 100tons....

Thanks....
