On the 28th of December, Dr Isaac Amankwe, a Canadian based medical Doctor assembled a team of doctors and a nurse. They went to Ughodu in Aniocha North local Government area of Delta state for a community service. They gave free medical services to indigenes of the community of Ugbodu. The medical team was led by Dr. Amankwe who is also from Ugbodu community. The other medical team are also distinguished persons from the community.
The medical community service lasted for 4 days with Free medical check-ups, drugs and other medical services were administered to the indigenes.
High rate of Hypertension was discovered and was treated. Deworming drugs were given to children. So many people with ulcers, diabetes and infections were also treated. Over 200 people were given medical attention and treated.
After the community service, the king of the Ugbodu community, Oloza Ayo Isinyemeze Ochie thanked the medical team and encouraged the development, hoping it will be a continuous process.
Well, it was a pleasure because my sister, Dora Ozor who was the only nurse was part of the medical team involved. She is also a nairalander. Here are couple of photos from the events.
