Is it safe to locate a poultry pen very close to a fish pond? ~hope having d pond close to d poultry will nt increase d chances of d birds having disease infections ? ~how safe is it? ~does having such creates a potential hazard on d birds?..YES or NO. ...pls i will appreciate comments on dis topic ...do u hav experience based on dis scenario..pls share..thanks |

It depends on your design of each. I once had a fish pond directly opposite my turkey house. I only observe general Bio-security on them and I never had any issue traceable to the 'co-habitation' of the two. |

well, there is rarely going to be occurrence of disease outbreaks from the waste products, (some farms use the poultry waste to nourish the pond/fish) but if you ever want to certify your fish farm for exports you need a 30m space between fish production and poultry |
