Awolowo was the first to consider a coup in Nigeria.

Awolowo will stand trail alongside 23 others including Enaharo.

You also said soyinka was extradited from the Uk because of the coup plot. that is also a big lie,soyinka was not part of the coup plot. Emeka ojukwu didnt join the nigerian army as a NCO.he was commissioned into the nigerian army as a 2nd lieutenant in 1956.

Awolowo can thus be singled out as one of the main corrupting influences in Nigeria.

The likes of the Sarduna championed the ultra conservative northern culture and it's isolation. Zik was a pragmatic politician seeking political solutions (even though flawed) for political hurdles he encountered. But Awolowo on the other hand was quick to resort to extra criminal measures to consolidate his power base and lust. This is evident on the lingering crisis in western Nigeria under Awolowo after indepence and the successive coup attempts and uprisings that he gave his blessings.
