This is how Napoleon Hill describes Cosmic Habit Force, a term he invented in his life time: “Nature’s method of giving fixation to all habits so that they may carry on automatically once they have been set into motion.” We do not know when it was set in motion, but apparently, after the wheels of lying where set in motion in the habit pattern of the Igbos, they have not been able to stop. Having been labelled "land grabbers" and embarrassed by massive rejection and negative feedback after their attempt to lie their way into Rivers State (the same way they tried with Lagos by saying it is no man's land) some of them retraced their steps here on nairaland. However, in the habit of lying, others have imagined that a cool trick would be to turn the land grabbing accusations back on the Rivers People. We do not know what has inspired this new move on their part but I hereby ask any of those proponents of the Idea to mention just one piece of non-Ijaw land that Ijaws have attempted to grab. You will observe that some of these Igbos will start mentioning Ikweres and Etches and other ethnic groups which Ijaws want to take away from Igbos when of course and naturally, we honestly cannot tell the Ikwere man who is. That is NOT one of our weaknesses - trying to declare to others who they are. While we definitely relate to Ikweres as Ikweres, it is the Ikweres themselves that VEHEMENTLY reject the concept/idea of an Igbo identity. How can we go in to them and carry out the misbehaviour Igbos are trying to carry out in Rivers State? How can we go and declare them Igbos or anything else we wish? That is pure lunacy. We respect them and their choice of identity (Ikwere). If Igbos feel that really, these people are Igbo, why can't the Igbos reach out to them on diplomatically and show them their long existing blood relationships and bring them into the fold? What, for crying out loud, does that have to do with the Ijaws? I make bold to say this has no more to do with us Ijaws than it has to do with Fulanis, or Nupes, or Yorubas, or any other people in the world that it does not concern. I also make bold to say that the number of Igbo lands currently being claimed by Ijaws is zero. So please, name one piece of Igbo land Ijaws are trying to grab or respectfully forever hold your peace. |

Not just lands but people. Not just even Igbo lands like ugwu ocha, but other ethnicities lands in SS Ijaws have tampered with Delta were they are minority and were given a hot chase. They came to rivers they were pursued to bayelsa and were termed immigrants and a minority. They came to calabar.... Calabar gave them a closed door. They are now trying to hit on akwaibom and the indigenes isn't finding that funny as they are denying them their every move. Even in bayelsa. Ijaws doesn't have a foothold. That's the more reason they are engaging the mission of expansionism to colonize SS ethnicities including the igboids ethnicities. Imagine. Ijaws are only jealous of Igbo's Hausa's, Fulani's and Yoruba BC they have strongholds in more than one states while they cant foot themselves in just a state. Not withstanding being recorded as the fourth majority ethnic group in Nigeria yet they have no state of their own. What a pretty nice shame 5 Likes |
