hello guys... i saw this pattern in a quantitative reasoning textbook.. and i got stucked, to my amazement i couldnt link up the pattern.. can someone try this out??

infact, I thought I have been the only one.

I taught my younger ones quantitative reasoning during their days and they topped back to back, but is shocked me last year when I came across some patterns I could get solved after minutes of calculative staring.

let me go get those patterns!

I later resolved they must have made mistakes cos what worked for 1 wouldn't work for 2.

some of the figures in the lantern quatitative reasoning workbook are sometimes wrongly placed/inserted.. wont be surprise if this is one of those patterns..
this is unsolvable........i stand to be corrected tho huh

Not hard..

apply knowledge of algebra..... label each number with a symbol.... then..start the manipulation.

ok boss, but the stuff no hard na.....I just did some manipulation/trial n error...(this ain't further maths at all ) which later yields the above relations.. nd yes this' how I teach my younger siblings... they always get it ..n score high marks in Math/quantitative reasoning

Just follow this logic carefully.. letters rep. numbers. .u will see .. its that simple .

but, this is too much for a primary student to grab without breaking it down in example as you did.

Even, the simplest calculation in General Mathematics is properly exampled before exercise.

I bet you, many teachers can't figure this out for students.

During my days, quantitative reasoning no dey complicated like this.

Actually, your answer has no logic. It defeats the purpose of quantitative reasoning
why would A be equal to (E+D)-(F-G) when C is equal G(D-E)? Looking at the drawing you notice A and C are mirror images of each other, so C is expected to follow a similar(and possibly opposite) pattern as that of A.
It seems like your answer is a bit too random and is more of chance than reason... Although it workscheesy
