You have to wonder why Virgin Group did not act as ambitious and fair (to its own brand) in its Virgin Nigeria endaveour which is now coming to a close (Virgin Atlantic selling its stake and removing the Virgin brand from the Nigerian carrier, effective July 7th).

Although it's true, Virgin Nigeria established a momentum in aviation reforms, brought in Virgin Atlantic TECHNICAL expertise, and turned a leaf in nigeria's reputation. However, the airline was under-capitalized from the onset, and with time could not compete effectively against new airlines (Arik Air among them).

Hopefully with the airline's Embraer aircraft order (planes gradually being delivered, latest one to join the fleet perhaps on 23 June), onboard Inflight Entertainment and renewed emphasis on punctuality and reliability, the rebranded airline can be in a better financial position to grow.

The only reason the airline looks that cool is probably cos its new.

I've flown in the US so much that my frequent flyer miles can give me free flights for up to one month.
I have never been in a plane equipped like that. This includes the trans coastal >3hr flights.
Most flights within the US don't have inflight entertainment. You only get that on flights longer than 2.5 hrs.
The major flights in Nigeria (Lago - Abuja -PH) are approximately 1hr long. Do you really expect the airline to equip planes for a 45 minute flight.
Virgin Nigeria even serves cakes and beef rolls (omo d tin sweet like bastard) on the Lagos - Abuja flight.
Most 1hr flights in the US don't serve you NADA.
