Usually, people tend to have friends with mutual/similar likes and ways of thinking. So, if you can't get out of the friendzone, it is probably better to meet new people. And you can ask your friend-that-friendzoned-you for advice on the likes of the person you just met, date ideas and etc. This way, everyone ends happy!
