FLASH: Chief Of NAF, Amosu sent this fine officer and a younger coleague to their untimely death in an unserviceable helicopter.
The NAF chief and ex-NSA Col.Sambo Dasuki (retd) bought two unserviceable Mi-24V Russian helicopters without rotors, when they got under pressure to use them they went ahead to remove the rotors from another unserviceable Mi-35P helicopter and placed them on the Mi-24V. The rotors of Mi-35P weren't compatible, they were just too heavy for Mi-24V chopper. What happened next was that Group Captain Ubong Akpan and Master Warrant Officer Zabesan Hosea were put on the helicopter in 2014 to fight Boko Haram, then the plane crashed near Girei in Adamawa state and killed both air force men. Then Chief of Airstaff Amosu was on hand during their burial in December 2014 to speak claiming their 'sacrifice' saved Yola, Adamawa state from falling into Boko Haram hands.

Nigeria as a country lack institutions and the citizens don't feel the sense of Nigeria my country rather survival of the fittest.

Nigeria would need to reposition and even change the National Anthem and they way the Federation is currently structures to bring in the lacking sense of belonging.
