Keneking: Brazilian food is influenced by African/Nigerian dishes. They eat akara, moi moi and plantain in the same way that Nigerians do. |

redcliff: I don't know about all you have listed (I know you have a good point esp the tables and camera +21) but about the bowl...it's easy to comprehend. A lot of European countries have standardized stuff like this. Compare food crates for vegies and perishables in grocery stores...they also look alike. |

Trailblazer1: Trust me, reverse is the case. If you don't serve these kids the local delicacies they are used to, they will not eat it, in fact, that will be met by a violent protest |

Farnsworth: Even though your submission looks contradictory, but I think I get your point. Fair as it seems, I think we should let the process evolve. What this will do is to trigger a viable Agric , Catering, Water bottling, Drinks etc. businesses. Packaging business would soon follow, imagine those oranges, water melon, pawpaw and mangoes will now be bottled and packed for the kids. 1 Like |

DirtyGold: Bros, Any time I travel abroad, I'm always home sick because of food. I remember in 2009, I was on a special project in UK and we were lodged in the 650 pounds per night Marriot hotels (on company's expenses........), I had to lead a subtle protest because of the "injury" the food was doing to us. Those colourful stuffs you're seeing does not necessarily translate to being palatable, especially if you were brought up on our traditional delicacies.......In my Bskull days, we were on exchange program to Barcelona. Our host had to make provision to cook rice on every mean for Nigerian students...... But much more importantly, we need to build our food into a global brand. There is nothing wrong with those Eba/Garri, except the packaging...... and i dare say the quantity 1 Like |

leewin: The idea from proponents of the concepts, UNICEF (i think), is to feed the children with their local delicacies, because the food will be sought from the immediate environment. The food is ok and there's nothing wrong with it to me. 1 Like |

mapet:omo is that porridge coco yam and beans Chai my kwontry which way forward....? Why not atleast bottle water 30cl of bottle water is sold to the consumer @ the rate of 50k so if he can arrange with bottle water producing company, they can sold it to him @ cheap rate of 30naira, therefore if u calculate 30naira X 200,000 primary school pupil is dat state, u will know that we are equal to the task, just that we are in era of kworuption and lies... |

cutekhalifa: Bros, This is why people like you and I should continue to advocate for improvement of these initiatives, with the likes of this your suggestion (unlike some people who condemn it). At the start, it probably will look rough as it is, but with time, a lot of private players will come in. Also note that in emerging economies like us, we have the opportunity to localize our offerings, say, why can't we even start with "pure water" to reduce cost..... |

mapet:bro I concurred with you, but indomie and bobo juice can do a lot instead of that coco yam & beans porridge, if he can slash daily stipend of his entourage, the amount he go get, is enough to make those kids happy, don't u see the way those little kids frown there faces... Is like the governor is forcing them the food with long koboko |
