there is what we call leniency in law. dasuki is willing to co-operate with the EFFC to get back the money, hence he is in EFFC detention. But Metuh refuse to coperate, refuse to give any statement, and also refuse to talk. and also he was remanded in a prison.

Yet you would want Nigeria to look like USA. The law is respecter of nobody whether you are a snitch like Dasuki or "stand your ground" like Metuh, the law and legal process should treat them equally. I guess Nigeria has too many people with the same mindset as yours hence the backwardness of the country.

Not the same anywhere in the world. If the government does not have the case, it should not expect the defendant to incriminate he/her self. In USA the refusal of the defendant to corporate is by taken the fifth hence the fifth amendment, law against self incrimination. .

from which law or principle of law are you justifying your argument from Or have you forgotten that a suspect or an accused person has the Constitutional right to remain silent? When has making statement become by force under which law?

pls there is a law that gives special treatment for those who feel remorse for what they have done and are willing to turn a new leaf. talking about silence this only applies b4 the arrest. ask anybody that has been arrested b4
