While you are at it, do you know that there are two kind of bones, which are extensions of the spinal cord, in your neck - Atlas and Axis. One is helps your neck rotate, while the other helps you nod your head. They are both connected by a cartilage that could snap if significant pressure is applied to it.

That job is gruesome. The fact that cadets do it and get away does it make it less gruesome. A course 46 cadet died in that position. I wish they will just scrap it for real.

I have a few questions to ask

Why is it that the official uniform (green ) of those NCOs are usually very faded and not sparkling. How many pair do they give them and for how long do they expect them to wear it. Some of them wear that thing for more than 10 years yet the army does nothing about that.

Secondly during training, the blowing of pot (sitting of head torture). I call it torture because I don't see it as training. For how many hours do these guys blow pot straight?


Lastly why be say army barracks just be like police barracks? Very dirty, crowded, too many children playing around , prostitution etc. Can't they take a cue from the airforce and navy?

Barracks different oh! Like 102 battalion in Enugu (I think it's 105, dunno), dey get sides for NCOs n Commissioned officers. D officers sides fresh.
It's usually d NCOs dat r neglected, n I pray n hope army looks into it.

Airforce is currently looking into dat (accomodations for their NCOs). Like dis year alone, Dem done Commissioned accommodations reach 6

My general advice, when watering starts, try not to move so much except for when you are rolling from one side to the other.. the water can tear your back if you keep moving to control the impact of the water on your back
2.. the cadets would want to water you say like 7-12 times.. if you do hard guy and don’t cry or roll around, it can double to 20+.. if they believe you can take it, they will want to do till you get to your breaking point...
3.. when they file us out for watering parade, wear thick boxers.. maybe even 2 or 3..
4.. don’t approach a cadet that knows you or you’re familiar with for watering... you’ll regret it..
5..it’s only 9 months and Sarham is still there..prepare for this watering parade from 1st week and it’ll last for hours...after which proper jobbing will commence..
6.. start training your wrists by pushing weights(pushing it with your hands almost close together and not wide apart)... it’ll help you when you start hanging up.
7..if e sure for you, buy slippers now and start practicing with anti plant...
8... the best time to have started running your 3.20kms was early this year.. if you are waiting for list before you start you will be on your own..
9..try your best possible to not buy job for your course mates.. they can press your neck in the night lol.
10.. nothing like sleep in the academy! Enjoy it now..from screening you’ll understand
11.. Expectations create disappointments.. don’t expect anything when you get in.. just live life there everyday as it comes and pray! 9 months will feel like 9 years but it’s not entirely a time of suffering.. there’d Be time for laughs, fun that you create amidst yourselves, etc.
