Abs exercises can give you effective results, but let’s face it; they’re boring when not done correctly. To tone your stomach, we have discovered chair exercise that can tone your stomach, when waiting in line, even while cooking! Your abdominal muscles are easier to participate without the equipment because you can work them by just pulling your belly and holding that position.

Here are six easy moves to tone your stomach with Chair Exercise.

1. 2-second Posture Check

You can tone your stomach instantly by changing your posture. You can do it when you’re standing and waiting in line, drop your tailbone and pull the hip bones up as if you are trying to connect your hips to your chest. It pushes and tones the stomach. Keep your tailbone slightly tucked under for relieve pressure on your lower back while walking. It also makes the stomach appear flatter.



2. Belly dancing while brushing

Belly dancing can help tone your stomach, to make the move, keep your left leg with the right leg slightly forward and balanced on the tip of your right foot. Move your right hip and then drop it down. Do the belly dance for one minute on each side while you are brushing your teeth (Read our previous article on how belly dancing can be an effective weight loss routine).



3. V-sit while you sit

Recover those lost minutes waiting for your computer to start by using them to do these powerful and quick chair exercises. The v-sit is one of the most useful ways to strengthen the entire stomach, and you do not have to get on the floor to do so. In fact, this move is easy to do, even in a skirt and heels, and is so subtle that no one will know you’re doing it.

While sitting, scoot back to the front of the chair. Then lean back so that your back rests gently on the back seat. Contract abs and lift your right knee, and then put your foot down on the floor. Repeat with the left leg, doing ten repetitions on each side.



4. Pretend that there’s Gum Stuck on your Chair

If you’re driving or sitting and waiting in someone’s office, I imagine there’s wet paint or gum on the back of the chair, you have to hold yourself up instead of holding your shoulder blades down, and you can picture yourself knitting your rib cage together.



5. Stay Balanced

Sitting on an exercise ball is a useful chair exercise that can help you focus and power through your workload. Some studies found that when the balls takes the role as chairs in classrooms, students will pay more attention to their teachers and focus on their studies. When you sit or lie through a stability ball, all your core muscles are involved to stay compliant. Staying balanced will assist you to tone your stomach with better posture, more defined abs and a healthy spine with less pain.



6. Hoop it up

Hoops are not just for the playground, it is also a great chair exercise, Adult fitness hoops are weighted to tone your stomach fat and make them easier to turn. Here’s how to do it: Move only your abdomen, keeping the upper and lower body and hips steady and rocking from side to side.
