Tecno's CSR installed 88 Solar-Powered Streetlights in computer village by daremarvell: 12:32pm On Jan 23, 2016
Computer Village, Lagos home of mobile and computer devices and technology solutions in Nigeria has suffered lack of adequate security surveillance in the past. It's been reported to have witnessed the highest crimes rate among the various mobile markets in Nigeria but that has soon changed as one company operating in the community, Tecno mobile Nigeria has brought light and joy to the community

‎The popular Ikeja electronics market popularly known as “Ikeja Computer village” and comprises of three communities, woke up to an atmosphere of excitement on Thursday as dignitaries from the State and the Local Governments, community and market leaders and members of the press, converged on the market ground to commission the Tecno corporate social responsibility project.

Tagged, “Light up Ikeja” project, the eighty eight (88) high end solar-powered streetlights were fullly installed by Arthur Energy Technology Ltd to Tecno's Ikeja hosts as a token of appreciation for years of peaceful co-existence.

Speaking at the ceremony, Olufemi Odubiyi, ‎commissioner for Science and Technology, Lagos State, ‎expressed the State Government's delight over Tecno's magnanimity and showcase of grateful attitude towards the host communities. The 88 High end solar-powered street lights now provides 24hrs streets lights to the area

What do you guys think about this good initiative from Tecno mobile and the attendant impacts on the host community?

Abeg Techno should go and hide their head in shame joor. Is this what they could come up with? After raking billions of dollars in Nigeria.

And some silly ideeots are praising them for this trash.

How many streets are in that computer village self. Even the street lights installed are the cheapest they could lay their hands on.

Mind you it may lessen tecno coy tax burden

Because you are a descendant of prostitutes and cursed armed robbers and hired killers has taken from your demented brain any form of logical reasoning.

Useless swine.

This is what pains me with my country men. And its shallow minded people like you that let these theiving companies get away with their irresponsibilites.

The law of the land states clearly (for those who can comprehend) that any company operating in this country must plaugh back 20% of its profit as community development.

In what way has Techo and the rest of them spent 20% of their profit as community development.

We know of companies operating in Nigeria that flaut court orders with impunity, same thing they can't even do in their country.

MTN is dragging our laws in the gutter, same thing they can't even do in their country.

Its people like you that are disgracing Nigeria. Just because you chose to be ignorant doesn't mean others have to be.

Not accepting the truth will not necessarily make it disappear margicaly. You can choose to bury your head in the sand like the ostrich, it's your choice.

Belive me, it takes caurage to speak against crooked companies, something your type know nothing about.

I used the word 'some' in my first post on this thread. How people construed that to mean 'all' is baffling to say the least.

Finaly, just because you are a very frustrated person doesn't not necessarily mean other are.
