OMOILU FOUNDATION PICKS HOSPITAL BILLS

In continuation of its empowerment programme across Ogun State, the Senator Buruji Kashamu-inspired Omoilu Foundation today stormed Sagamu Local Government where it picked the hospital bills of four people – a man and three women. Each of the beneficiaries got between N50, 000 and N100, 000 to pay their respective hospital bills.
They are said to be suffering from various ailments, ranging from cataract to fibroid and broken arm.
The well-attended ceremony, which was hosted by the Sagamu Local Government chapter of the foundation, had in attendance members of the Comrade Niyi Osoba-led state executive council of the Foundation.
In his welcome address, the State Coordinator, Osoba thanked members of the foundation for the impressive turn out.
“I am highly impressed at the turn out here in Sagamu Local Government. I want to assure you all that our Distinguished Senator Buruji Kashamu is a friend of the masses. He will continue to support the masses. My advice for the beneficiaries of today is to use the money for what it is meant,” he said.
The Coordinator of the foundation in Sagamu Local Government Area, Mr Gbenga Salako, said, “If Nigeria has more people like Senator Buruji Kashamu, it would be a better place for all to live.
Those who benefitted from the scheme included Mrs. Fadira Oluwabunmi, Mrs Bukola Shogbesan, Mrs Kehinde Akinsanya and Mr. Bamiji Ayinde.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Akinsanya praised Senator Kashamu for extending the hand of fellowship to them.
“I appreciate Senator Kashamu for this wonderful opportunity. We have suffered a great deal. In the past, when they get to Abuja, they forget the grassroots. Senator Kashamu is different from the rest. He is a complete grassroots man. God will continue to be with him and his family. God gave us Senator Kashamu to ease our sufferings in Ogun State,” she enthused.
Meanwhile, as part of its empowerment programme, the Omoilu Foundation has donated two vehicles – a Toyota Sequoia Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a Toyota Corolla salon car – to Otunba Kola Akinyemi (from Sagamu Local Government) and Mrs Idowu Lamina (from Ijebu Ode Local Government).
Senator Kashamu launched the empowerment scheme across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State a fortnight ago at the Ijebu-Igbo headquarters of the Omoilu Foundation, adding that the initiative was in line with his avowed commitment to continue to look for ways of uplifting the masses and the less privileged in the society.
He announced the donation of a bus to each of the 20 office of the foundation across the 20 local government areas, just as he said each of three senatorial chairmen will be given vehicles.
“For all and sundry, we shall continue with our tradition of ‘stomach infrastructure’ and empowerment. Specifically, there shall be heavy distribution of food stuffs and clothing, among other incentives,” Senator Kashamu added.
