Who still uses a wooden safe to keep money? Trying to accumulate earthly riches in weak vessels is futile.

If he hates banks, then let him buy 10 big tins of Milo and use the konkom as alternative

OR
forget earthly riches and focus on heavenly riches.

I don't even understand the concept of millions in a "wooden safe" do they mean cupboard?

Oh what a pity!

While I feel deeply sorry for this guy, I however wonder why he had chosen to keep his money, such huge amount of money should be kept in the bank.

As sad as the story is, there is a lesson for all of us: no condition is permanent. What then remains for him now is how kind and generous he'd been before this reality: if he's been unkind to those around him especially his immediate family, getting out of this might be a little far-fetched. If otherwise, then good luck to him. What a trial!

Peace.

It's just so quite unfortunate that at this moment of the new year when the hustle is just starting to become real, a man losing millions of naira in this manner. According to reports, a Lagos businessman lost millions of naira after fire engulfed his wooden safe and burnt all his savings to ashes. Pictured are the remains of his money from the burnt safe.

Wait wait wait

Where did you leave your safe and how did fire meet it

It's not your fault sha, if you leave it in the bank, armed robbers will still go in search of the money

why should he use a wooden safe

Metal would have been better..

Even metal safe would have destroyed the notes. A safe is not safe if it is not Fire Proof.
