komzy589: REALLY? You are a civil engineering graduate and your last resort is a teaching job? Haba. You really need to think things through. Let me give you an analogy. A teaching job pays you an average of 25k monthly. As a civil engineer, you can apply as an intern with a builder, architect or engineer. Even if he can't afford to pay you more than 25 or 30k, it's still to your advantage since you would be opportuned to gain skills. When next you consider a teaching job as an engineer, also consider that carpentry, masonry and other works apprentices are entitled to transport and feeding allowances daily from their boss. In a month, they may get as much as 30k, learn on the job and graduate after a period of time. It's still going to be a win win situation for them but a civil engineer seeking a teaching job, it's going to be a lose- lose situation. PS. Let no one mention the economic situation of the country to me on this matter. Truth is we are not innovative even as graduates. 12 Likes |
