I just wanted to create this thread to enable people share their experiences on the delay in our allowee payment. I ate concortion without tomato paste in it today. That is how bad things have gotten. Hopefully, this thread will attract the attention of people in charge to enable with the disbursement of our allowee. This NYSC is just a modified slavery. We work yet the little, not enough token allowance we expect is not given to us.

NYSC has lost it's value, it's just a modified slavery. To feed is becoming a challenge. NYSC should be scrap.

The National Youth Service Corps on Wednesday said there would be “a slight delay” in the payment of the January 2016 allowance for corps members.
“The delay is due to discrepancies in planning figures for 2016 from the NYSC, Ministry of Budget and National Planning and the Ministry of Finance.
“Management regrets this delay, and is therefore working round the clock to ensure that all corps members receive their January allowance between now and next week.
“Please accept our very sincere apology for this delay,” a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES said.

Guys, I'm tired of this delay, see as I jumped when I got a text yesterday fully expecting it was an alert. These people are just making us pass through untold hardship in the name of serving the fatherland. Is this the change we voted for? We were posted to strange lands the least you could do is pay us on time, do they want us to be stranded? This is heartlessness of the highest order. Smh. stream 1 received only camp allowed and December allowee. So it's not a stream 1 stream 2 thing. Stream 1 and stream 2 have collected the same number of allowee till date.
