The special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, has announced in a statement on February 5, Friday, that President Muhammadu Buhari has begun a short vacation. According to Adesina, while Buhari is on vacation, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will perform the functions of the president. The presidential aide said in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, Buhari had dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
