Leadership Should Know Governor Wike Was At Supreme Court To Attend Body Of Benchers Meeting

Leadership Newspaper is this morning making mischief news of Governor Wike’s attendance of the Body of Benchers meeting at the Supreme Court yesterday.

Governor Wike has been a member of the Body of Benchers for the past 3 years and has attended their meetings as opportunities avail themselves.

It is false and misleading to infer that he was at the Supreme Court as a result of a statement credited to him during his Thanksgiving Service in which according to APC sources, he allegedly thanked Justice Odili of the Supreme Court for her advice while he sought the restoration of his mandate.

For the avoidance of doubt, Governor Wike’s Thanksgiving Service was beamed live across the country and it is on record that at no time did he make any reference to Justice Mary Odili at the event as alleged by Dakuku Peterside, the embattled, bitter and defeated Rivers State APC Governorship candidate in the 2015 General Election.

Now that puts Justice Mary Odili in the limelight. Questions need to be asked. In this country, advisers don't give advice for free. It comes with a token. Also, it is conflict of interest and professionally unethical for a Supreme Judge to frolick with politicians or even become their legal adviser.
If you're pained, go hire a lawyer and sue Wike and the Judge to Court. Zombies can't reason with their heads, they use their anus

Can you folks live a day without propaganda? This is becoming a mental issue for some people. Wike has so many reasons why he can be seen at the Supreme court. He is a lawyer, so is his wife...so many reasons. And none of these reasons being illegal. I even hear he's a member of the Body of Benchers. He was there with with othere people, meaning it wasn't a hidden visit.

Mary Odili had long ago written to exclude herself from the case, because of clash of interest. So why is her name being mentioned. She didn't take part in that case, why are some people just looking for anything and everything to blame for their defeat?

If some folks are suggesting he influenced the Supreme court judgment, then I guess he also influenced that of Abia, Akwa Ibom and Taraba. Most PDP governors didn't head to the tribunals to contest their defeat. I'm pretty sure some would have been victorious. Would you also say Wike influenced it?

The Body of Benchers cannot summon a governor even though Wike is a lawyer. Wike never make any statement against the Body of Benchers.
