Please don't forget that there are three different tribes in Nigeria. Without a central language (English), communication will be difficult, and you can't make one tribe's language the central one without raising eyebrows.

I never said we shouldn't study English or French. But, my argument have been that we should study it not as a compulsory subject. That's the way it is in European schools itself!. That's the way it is in China, Japan, Russia, Korea. Only those interested in studying English or French should do so. Why do you think the British is doing you a favor by having you learn English as a core subject in African schools, when they themselves don't allow any foreign language as a core subject in Britain?. Please, set yourself free!!.

By the way, in their own continent Europe, no two countries speak same language except Belgium and France. Doesn't Europeans communicate themselves?. Has language ever been a barrier to the European union?
