My friend is badly complaining that there is something whitish in her vagina. that each time she is bathing and she insert her hand into private part is when she will see it. Please help Nairaland Doctors.

If shes in her fertile days or ovulating,its normal. . .as long as its not itchy but if its a daily occurence all through the month with or without itch then something is wrong.

Hi there, the vagina cleans itself out daily and little discharge can be noted which is normal. Depending on the time of the month, the discharge can be thick, slimy/slippery, thin/watery, once again normal.

You only need to worry when there's a smell, the amount of discharge is more than normal, you're itchy and the colour is different from normal. Most times it's usually a yeast infection which can be easily treated with either a cream or pill(monistat, diflucan, canesten etc) but it can also be an early sign of an STD

Finally, if your friend has any reason to worry, just tell her to see a doctor and not play any guessing game, untreated STD's can tamper with one's fertility. Best of luck

If this occurs when she is not ovulating, then it is as a result of a yeast infection (candida). What I advice is for u to take her to a medical lab. After u do that, do not use any antibiotics. I will tell u what to do when u contact me through whatsapp 08136478517
