is it proper to date someone in my office? i like him very much,i mean he is my kind of person,but in the same office sound odd to me,but he said he didnt mind but i do.am thinking that if the relationship didnt work,it will be very bad,cos i will see him in the office everyday. please advice me oh! many good heads is better than 1  |

how old r u? and would you be comfortable with everyone knowing that yall are dating and if it did not work out would you be comfortable with him dating someone else? Addtionally has he dated anyone else from the office? |

If you do date him, you both must be very disciplined. I did it once but I made the guy promise not to discuss it. No one knew until we were spotted catching a flight together. Discretion is the key if you want peace. |

If you have to always check out other people's faces before dating someone, then I'll advise you don't do it. I wouldn't want to hide my relationship for whatever reason, not even if I'm dating my boss' daughter. It's either I do it --or-- it never happens at all. |

if thereare no rules abhorring that in your coy, and u dig him that much then u sure can. but have u considered how u wud feel if things dint work out, and how the reaction of the ppl in ur office will affect u? also wud u be able to restrain ur affairs to the house and let official maters come to play at work? cos am sure u might not be able to handle knowing he has some query to answer, or maybe he is getting a dress down. either ways, i think its ur call not ours. |

@post I once did it and got burnt. . .It does take an awful lot to move-on once there's a break-up, ESPECIALLY when you both keep seeing eye-to-eye EVERYDAY. Keep it cool &control ur "urge" hormones, remain friends wit him but don't let it get that far btwn you two. . .speaking from experience here |

Sorry, it's a no go area for me. Nope nope nope. Many companies are against it, especially if one is in a senior position and the other is in a junior one. Anyways, alot of people in my previous place of work are all shagging each other. Esp the married ones! nonsense.  |

Interesting as it may seem, it is the worst type of romance you can think of. Do not go into it except you are sure it is going to lead to marriage. The disadvantages far out weight the advantages. For me, it is no! If your partner loves you he/she will talk about it and if he/she is just using you he will also talk about it and you tend to lose some respect. Keep your love affairs/romance/personal life out of the office. |
