Infinix Mobility started making great success starting from the likes of Infinix Hot to the Infinix Hot 2, and it is the turn of the Infinix Hot 3. Infinix Mobility shared a teasing photo of their upcoming Infinix Hot 3 on Facebook and Twitter yesterday which suggest that something great is coming this year from Infinix.

The Infinix HOT series is the most popular series of Infinix Mobility. The very first version was a best seller in 2014, surpassing all the “big players” in terms of sales volume.

Last year, the No.1 online smartphone brand in Africa captured West African market with the release of Infinix HOT2 as ‘African’s first and only Android One smartphone’.

The upcoming Hot 3 is tagged “Selfie with soft flash makes life colorful”, which translates that the smartphone is designed for selfie lovers and should come with massive resolution front-facing snapper mainly for taking perfect selfies with the new lifestyle from Infinix Mobility

We are yet to get full specifications of the next Hot 3 smartphone. When full details are made available, we sure will share it with you guys . nice one. I am still waiting for tecno to release their own device

from the pictures.. i think its a 5.5, 8mp rear camera, 5mp selfie camera (both with flash) 3030mah removable battery, 1 and 2gb variant and will go for 24-27k

It is just not more than a month Infinix Mobility teased us with images of its upcoming budget-friendly smartphone dubbed Infinix Hot 3, but it is nothing new as they made the Infinix Hot 3 available for pre-order on Jumia Nigeria even before it would be officially announced. The new Hot 3 is one that could be considered the middle offering between the Infinix Hot Note and Infinix Hot 2. The Infinix Hot 3 shares some similarities with the other two phones and differs from both in one way or the other. The device comes with a better specification, enhanced hardware performance, superior camera quality, and improved display compared to the Hot 2

Build and Screen

Taking a brief look at the Infinix Hot 3 design, it does not mark a significant departure from a budget device in terms of design. The body is fashioned out of plastic. The back cover is designed to fit the curve of the palm and processed with a fine diamond texture. Made to fit your lifestyle, it is the true definition of style and functionality.

The display measures 5.5-inch and features full-laminate GFF technology for 1.2mm high precision processing, which prevents glare while minimizing distance between glass and screen for exceptional clarity and vivid picture quality. Coupled with Multi-Touch 5, it is a truly responsive experience.

Camera and Storage

Coming down to the camera department, the Infinix Hot 3 is better configured in this area. It comes with a pair of snappers similar to those on the Infinix Hot Note to an extent. You will find an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, Smile recognition (smart recognition for smiles), Gesture recognition (fun selfies), Voice recognition (smart recognition for the phrase “capture” or “ cheese”), Timed photos (great for selfies), Touch capture (touch screen for instant focus and capture), Focus Tracking（essential tool for spontaneous capture）, burst mode, and utilizes OV8865 sensor and 5-element lens camera to enhance light intake efficiency for superior picture quality on the rear. While the front side of the phone sports a 2-megapixel shooter for selfies.

Internal storage capacity is at 16 GB, with this being expandable by up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

Performance and OS

On the inside, the Infinix Hot 3 packs the MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor, and comes with both 1 GB and 2 GB RAM available to complement individual usage requirements.

Out of the box, this budget smartphone will boot Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with XUI on top.

Miscellaneous Specs

The Infinix Hot 3 will be available in 4 different colors: Pink, Gold, White and Blue color options and comes with a 3000mAh Lithium-Ion battery combined with low consumption design to enable 9hr of web browsing, 20hr of talk time, and 33hr of music. The Infinix Hot 3 offers dual SIM slots, both of which 3G connectivity.

It comes with Box upper and lower silicon dual-mic to effectively lower background noise; it is coupled with a wide frequency receiver for excellent call quality. Its 2nd generation music amplifier utilizes unique RNS and noise canceling technology from Aiwei to effectively limit TDD noise. Anti sound-break technology is implemented to smooth out tracks for superior playback quality.

It is expected to go on sale soon, but the announcement is expected to come before the end of March. There is no info on pricing yet. We expect the Infinix Hot 3 to be competitively priced and should hit the Nigerian, Kenyan, and Ghana Mobile Market when launched.
