THE Action Congress (AC) in the South West has called for the resignation of Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State and all affected lawmakers involved in blood oath-taking. It also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe alleged laundering of funds of the 33 Local Government councils in Oyo State.

According to the party,“Ogun State people should not lose hope as a people’s government of the Action Congress will restore the dignity of the state. The governor of the state and the entire PDP government (Legislature inclusive) should immediately surrender the stolen mandate of the people”.

On the blood oath taking, the party said,”the Action Congress (AC) South-West is saddened and scandalized by the ‘Blood Oath’ saga that has surpassed the Okija Shrine episode in its exposure and the level of involvement by the Executive and the Legislature in Ogun State” .

AC said, “Governor Alao-Akala should stop the illegal deduction of N250 million for three kilometers of roads in each of the 33 Local Government Councils in Oyo State. The EFCC should spare no effort in unmasking the illegal accumulation and laundering of local government funds as reservoir towards financing the 2011 elections”.
