Former governor of Borno State, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff has been named the new chairman of the People’s Democratic Party. The former Senator is replacing Ahmadu Mu’azu, the former chairman who resigned shortly after the March 2015 polls.

The spokesperson for PDP, Olisa Metuh, who addressed journalists at the Abuja’s Wadata plaza secretariat of the party, on Tuesday, said all organs of the party, including, the national caucus, PDP governors’ forum and the national assembly caucuses agreed on the choice of Mr. Sheriff as the new party Chairman.

I don't need their mockery to know that PDP is dead. A lot of us followed PDP because we believe in Jonathan. At this juncture, I am resigning my support for the PDP. I will remain non-partisan until a viable opposition is formed by true democrats and progressives that mean well for Nigeria.

The new president of Tanzania should be a model for all African leaders. Don't just talk the talk but do the work when you get elected!!
