5 Things Drawn From The Linda Ikeji/hermes Bag Debacle by SNblog: 6:58am On Feb 19, 2016 |
Finally, the argument over if Linda Ikeji’s hermes bag is real or fake is gradually fading which is natural. She has apologized in her usual ‘lindaway' over her rant, and everybody is moving on. But before we finally let sleeping dogs lie, i have had observations from the episode, so i had to compile this, Five things i noticed from the drama, and here it goes: 1) Linda seems not to have much celebrity friends Dunno if you have noticed but, Linda ikeji seems to be like an outcast celebrity especially when it comes to getting their support during the storm like the hermes bag brouhaha. Unlike most celebrities who during times of troubles, have their fellow colleagues defending them, or and having their backs in a way, it is rare to say the same about linda. Not even among her fellow bloggers. SDK's recent shade at her during the saga tells a lot. 2) Women are women’s biggest problems. Well, even my mom has said this as many times as i can remember. And she never lied. Did you notice how ladies were the ones over exaggerating all the whole thing. They kept calling her fake, and other crazy stuff. Same ladies she always seem excited about helping succeed. Compared with someone like davido who had few days earlier, flaunt his new watch twitter, and how many men do you see hating even though it's annoying for some people. Some women are just crazy like that sha. 3) Linda is becoming her blog Ok, linda ikeji remains famous and of course one of the leading bloggers in Nigeria, if not Africa mainly because of her past. Linda is was known for breaking controversial stories in Nigeria. Those kind of stories that you imagine how she got them. Though of recent, she is beginning to sound a lot like Vanguard but have you noticed that instead of breaking the stories, she is gradually becoming the stories especially negative ones. In over the last one year, she has trended for the wrong reasons except maybe for the N500 million naira house which even had it's own share of controversies pertaining to the real amount in which the house was bought. She was even accused(allegation) of funding the building project from monies gotten from the popular Dasukigate Arms deal. 4) Everyone hate criticism Everyone enjoys bad mouthing the other person, but nobody wants to be at the receiving end. When it comes to criticism, nobody wants to hear you quote the Golden rule. ‘DO to others what you would like’. Time again, Linda has gone all ‘bruce lee’ online, at anybody that dares say something imperfect about her. She puts in lots of energy to defend heraelf from bad publicity. She would curse and swear just to make her point. She would always brand those persons haters and poor. The number one controversial Nigerian would always play the victim. And you wonder if it is the same lady who with no sense of remorse or apology would drop a story, not minding how bad it would come out. Funny thing was, while she was busy tackling her ‘enemies' with one hand, her other hand was having no problem blogging about the Okoyes(Psquare) brouhaha. It's business sha. 5) Much ado about nothing Pardon me as i get religious on this one, but we do worry much over unnecessary things. Vanity, as the bible calls it. Imagine the noise all over social media for just for a bag? A 4.8 million naira bag, i know. But the hype, was it that necessary? I think the hype and all that noise should have been about the amount she spent in buying it and not getting unnecessary headache over if it’s real or not. Especially when everyone is complaining of how hard the economy is. On her apology note, She even acknowledge the fact that the money spent for the bag was too much. Yes, we all know it’s her money, gotten from hard work, but the best thing was to let the rich lady droll over her expensive bag instead of taking another person's medication on our already empty stomach. http://www.sincerenigerian.com/2016/02/5-things-drawn-from-linda-ikeji-hermes-debacle.html?m=1

AngryNigerian:Reason some men may not marry her, ie if she's interested in marriage at all. 1. She talks too much. 2. She brags alot, sign of immaturity. I can't buy fake bags because I bought half a billion house and plenty other nonsense like that. 3. She spends wastefully, I know it is her money but there are better things to put them in, some shops do not have the number of shoes she has. 4. She likes competition, especially with other celebs. Women like that can spend the last kobo they have and still borrow just to please the society and they will either dump you, kill you or commit suicide when money stops coming. 5. She has a pest as a sister. 3 Likes |

Tallesty1: This is what you get from someone who was extremely poor and later tasted riches. You can't imagine Rita dominic doing that kinda childish things. The ikejis make too much noise on the internet, they are beginning to allow their past poverty life rub on their faces a lot. Someone should advice them before they create lots of enemies |

Did you notice how ladies were the ones over exaggerating all the the ladies who called her out on the bags were simply trying to save her from risk. as per helping some women succeed, since she made that announcement, who exactly has benefited? when she does the Dubai stuff, she should let us know. Not sure if that was for Oriki or some other person? She didnt really specify which gender the "true fan" had to be. Maybe she can accommodate two if the fan is married? |
