Based on the low birth rate of the male child nowadays, couples who pray for one after 2 or 3 female issues, tends to name the boy child, Kamsiyochukwu. This makes the name more masculine in context/content, though feminine in tongue. Literally the name Kamsiyochukwu means.....just as I prayed or asked from God |

most comtemporal "christian" Igbo names are basically Unisex. Can't think of any that is reserved for a particular sex..... Probably only Emeka for males. Growing up I had this impression the likes of Chinedu, Nonso are for Guys but not anymore, have met a lot of girls named such. Same way guys bear Chinenye, Onyinye etc. |
