There is no freaking way it can come out like that on it's own. The op forgot to add that you have to put it in an egg cooker and then put it in a microwave.

Not true. I make that all the time. Just add enough water to cover the egg and cook at 60 second intervals.

If you want eggs cooked properly:

-use a bit of oil/margarine/butter in the dish, use a large or heavy cover that won't move (not Tupperware), and don't let it sit for more than 20-30 seconds without checking it

-mix it in something else, e.g. put it at the bottom of the dish with other food, or pour it over other food (cover it the same)

You can cook just about any kind of yam/potato in like 6 minutes in a microwave.

It's a healthy way to make veggies because it's easy to avoid overcooking.

I haven't done meat in it, but it's probably doable if you mince it and do maybe a mixed rice dish or thick soup. I suppose a dish with shredded fish could work maybe.

If you're going to do this for something besides small things, you really want some good containers. Maybe get some large microwavable ceramic dishes with ceramic lids. You can also get large Tupperware and a large dome lid:
