A digit wristwatch was set accurately at 8:30a.m., and then lost 2 seconds every 5minutes. What time was indicated on the watch at 6:30 p.m of the same day if the watch operated continuously until that time? Who can get this right? ![]() |

Between 8:30am to 6:30pm is 10 hours in-between We have 60 minutes in 1 hour, but we loose 2 X (60/5) seconds every hour... Which is 24 seconds every hour 24 X 10 =240 seconds lost in total 240/60 = 4 minutes Thus we have a time lag of -4 mins which turns 6:30 to 6:26 pm |
