BREAKING! Oliseh Resigns As Super Eagles Coach


Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has resigned with immediate effect, Completesportsnigeria.com has been informed.
Oliseh tendered his resignation on Thursday after receiving the backlog of salaries owed him by the Nigeria Football Federation, a source in the governing body told Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Nigeria captain and his employers have been at loggerheads for weeks following the home-based Super Eagles’ early ouster from the African Nations Championship in January.
Oliseh did not take kindly to the criticism that trailed the CHAN outing and shot back via a YouTube video in which he exposed the NFF’s shoddy treatment of himself and his players, who were owed camp allowances and win bonuses and were left unmotivated throughout the tournament.
The former Juventus midfielder leaves the Eagles in the middle of key Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with back-to-back games against Egypt coming up in a month’s time.
Oliseh was appointed in July 2015 as successor to Stephen Keshi. Oliseh was in charge of 14 official matches, losing one friendly against DR Congo in Belgium and a CHAN group match against Guinea that led to ealy elimination in Rwanda.

Oliseh can resign if he likes. He has nothing positive to offer the National team super eagle.

Am just happy he was offered the job to see how tedious the work is rather than running his mouth on super sport any time he's invited to anaylise Nigeria game.

Let see Africa country who will appoint him.

This guy just has annoying attitude problem, he succeeded in messing up himself not Nigeria. I blame the NFF who didn't mean well for the eagles by bringing Oliseh to head the team. Wonder y he didn't resign before the backlog of salary was paid if it is not Jumoke the bread seller turned model that would have received the payment, rubbish.
He should bounce jare, he can't even coach humans but he may do well with cows or sheeps

He has always made himself bigger than the team and the country. He is plainly immature and I think the team is better off without him. How many people has he fought with or alienated since he became head coach?

He belittles his bosses, media, players, everybody.
Samson Siasia was not paid for months, but despite complaining, he took his boys to a championship and won.

Maybe Oliseh is waiting for the NFF to beg him just like he claimed they begged him to take the job.

Having said that, Buhari should beam his anti-corruptiin search lights in the NFF. There has to be a reason behind their consistent inability to pay national team coaches while the NFF president keeps junketing on trips abroad.
