Me and my guy dey argue about this. Untimely death. Is there anything as such? I believed and still believe that no one can die before his or her time.

Everything in this world is preordained by the Almighty. everyones birth and death date is on track and had been written before the advent of the world itself. So I for once don't believe in this 'conspiracy'.
And if there is any thing like untimely death then why don't we have 'untimely Birth'?(lol)

What your take on this guys?

And mods pls, help put to the right section. Thanks

@2undexy, Biblically there is what is called "Predestination" which simply means from the days of your birth up to where you will be at a point in time in your life, your challenges, joy, love, success, down to when one will die are known to God Almighty.....however on the other hand is what we call "Freewill" which is God's given inbuilt mode of operation that is applicable to all humans which if messed with can destroy such a one....this gives birth to the common saying that, "mess with Freewill and get messed up" e.g a handsome dude is likely going to be a ladies man and if he chooses to sleep with everything in skirt he is likely going to contact STDs and die prematurely....so YES you can die before your time if you opt out of God's will for your life and choose to do it your own way. Be guided!

I will just smile and walk away.
But then again something dragged me back.

Have you every had an experience where you knew strongly in your heart something bad was about to happen to you, you couldn't tell what but that feeling hung around like a dark cloud.
Then you prayed and felt peace somewhat and forgot about it, a little while a mild/minor accident happened that you had just a little scratch perhaps if you didn't pray you would have said goodbye to your loved ones.

For untimely birth? NO! For untimely death? Yes!
For birth it is a process occurring with time hence cannot be untimely
But death can be instantaneous eg through road accident, armed robbery and assassination. It is not a process occurring with time. Within seconds a perfectly healthy person may turn to corpse in an accident hence it is called untimely. To be candid most death in Nigeria are avoidable and hence should be termed untimely.

Nice summation , however sometimes we paint God in a way that marvels me , The religious book am familiar with says God would love that the sinner turns from his ways and return to him , so why will he want someone who steps away from his will to die when there is little or no chance to repent ?

God will never want that it is evil people who take advantage of other people's weaknesses and want to use it as an opportunity to harm them knowing they have stepped away from under God's canopy.

However if such a person is willing to still run to God he/she will be saved .
Notwithstanding that there are consequences for out actions

That is is why David will always be a man after God's heart he sinned but he always ran back to God , even though he still suffered the consequences of his actions.

Where do you put prematurely born babies ? Or is it because science has made their survival rates higher ?

What is the definition of untimely really ?

Someone who is supposed to be born in November is born in August isn't that untimely ?

You die when you die. We all bring our coffins to this world. Death is a natural phenomena.
