It's time the Nigerian F.G. does something about our hospitals like they did in the banking sector. It was a shocking news when a friend of mine was taken to a hospital at about 4:00am for an emergency checkup but was refered to another hospital just because there were no standby doctors.A health facility checkup routine should be organised by F.G. & any hospital that doesn't meet up to that standard should be closed down. That's the way forward.

@ poster

Do you think what you have suggested is possible in Nigeria? Hospitals in the developed countries are adequately funded by their governments and their doctors are well paid. Infant, you have to know that doctors that work in the private sectors are much more paid than their colleagues in public sectors and their working environment is much more better also.
Also, you have to put into consideration that the Nigerian politicians and their close relatives DO NOT use Nigerian hospitals so NOBODY cares, unlike the financial sector where they put some of the money they "make" while in office. They will be quick to make the banking sector solid because their money and interest is within the sector and sectors like the health can go to hell since they can fly to SA, UK and Germany for treatment,

So poster, dont let us build castle in the air, let us just live by faith, hopefully something will work out fine soonest. "Amen"
