I just purchased a 14 seater Volkswagen bus for transport business in Lagos. The intended route is ikorodu to CMS.

I'll appreciate if anyone with sufficient experience in the house can intimate me on how much to expect as daily delivery from the driver.

Also, I'll like to know if it's only one driver I'll employ or 2 drivers running shifts.

50k daily. provided they close by late night hours n you tell them that any money made after 7pm is theirs. they will be faithful with it

Thanks. I have thought about this but people keep telling me the dynamics are different that's why I need advise from people with experience in that area

Yeah. It's a risk worth taking

If u want 50k, drive ursef. Realistically, do u expect that the vehicle will be fully loaded from morning till evening? Peak periods are morning and evenings of they can hardly do 3 trips each. Dont also 4get ware n tear of vehicle. If delivery value is high, I can bet that d engine will be gone in six month. So do ur investigation properly. Risk on lastma n police is still there couple with the reckless nature of commercial drivers
Hire purchase contract may be ur best bet duly signed n sealed. In d event of default, u get ur vehicle back and the driver forfeits whateva amount paid so far. They also tend to be careful and maintain d bus well under this arrangement

Transport biz in lag is very tedious I know what am saying cos I do keke napep and okada biz. (u must get small(were) madness)

The best is you do hire purchase.(it eliminates silly excuses from driver to deliver)

Go to the park where he'll be loading from(if dem get park) and see their chairman(dem dey sabi d drivers under them dunno if it applies to danfo)

You need to have atleast 2 sureties from him(so he no go run with your bus else you sell the sureties )

You also have to have a fixed amount per day and he mustn't default(eg 20k per day)

Leave a day of the week outta it, make the vehicle sef rest

Mechanical issues should be handled by him(this way, he'll be careful) and he must still deliver

To save your money(and have it in bulk), tell him to be depositing to the bank directly and be providing you with the teller.

With these few points I do hope have been able to confuse...erm..convince u lol

I believe 5-8k is reasonable.

Got it for a bargain price from my boss but the MKT price is BTW 800k and 1.2m

I know a vanagon driver whobremits 10 k everyday though its a new bus, as time goes by the daily delivery drops to 8k .the issue is that its very difficult to get a honest driver
