I have been friends with this beautiful girl i met sometimes back in april.We've been hanging out for a while and i think she finds me attractive and funny.I think she makes a good company too.But wen i asked her out she gave me a big NO.When i tried to find out why, she said its cus i am a programmer and she doesnt believe i would have enough time to cuddle her and do all those luv stuffs.She noticed that most of the times i am always glued to my computer.
but the thing here is do you think am too serious being a programmer cus i think am loosing out on some other important stuffs.

Fact is, you need to dedicate your time and space it out so that you can have a life.
When i first started learning development ages back, i spent all my time on the pc,
worked at least 16/24 hours consistently for a couple of years, no social, no church. .

But now, i try to live a more balanced life, go to church at least on sunday. . .and
have more time to do more stuffs other than coding. In fact, there are times i do
not code for 3-4 straight days in a week (which seemed impossible before)

Geez, I can't believe this is still going on, at least one year since posting

It seems many on here are forgetting those very early lessons they had in economics and commerce classes - money and time management.

Manage the 2 aforementioned well and believe me, you can have a personal, social and "geek" life all at the same time.  Having said that, they say birds of the same feather flock together.  No one can convince me that out of all the girls/boys in a particular place that there isn't at least one who doesn't like going out with someone in a particular trade.  Will it take time to find such? sure but that doesn't mean you should give up.  If you can't find, keep searching.  Don't let oyibo culture influence you into believing that if you are by yourself that something is wrong with you.  "Distractions" can often prevent us from utilizing our talents in full

Lol, you need to learn how to manage your time, at least 30-minutes to 1 hour for her, any time she is around you, don't try to be too hard on her, she is a human being and have feelings.

I dont know how old you are, but if you are old enough to settle down, then you'll understand what your woman's needs are. I used to find it difficult understanding why women reason the way they do - they all need attention. If you have found what you need in a woman in her, please try as much as possible to make her understand. If she really loves you, she will understand.

Don't mind people who tell you "give her red card; there are many women out there". I am telling you this from experience.
