I think the reason why the man, wife and son died was because they are not putting on their seat belt.. The driver and orderly survived because they are on seat belt .. Always put on your seat belt.. Rip to the dead..

This is as a result of overspeeding. I think d escort drivers n all gov't officials vehicles should be cautioned over excessive speed if possible all gov't official cars should instal speed limit devices. Where are we running to? There was a salient point mentioned here: the accident occurred due to the bad tyre. The rear tyre bursted probably on top speed.

This is another avoidable accident, it is another evidence that most tyres in Nigeria are substandard; both new and tokunbo tyres.

That was Lexus SUV for God's sake, the stability on the road is awesome and I can't comprehend tyre explosion on top speed.

pure physics bro. Wouldn't go into details but use ur brain to do this math. Driver had seatbelt on, the orderly normally seat in front had seat belt on as well. Aid sits behinds the driver. Wife seats in the middle without seatbelt, flung towards the center, minister seats behinds the orderly on the owners corner, he is fat with no seatbelt on (mass x velocity = momentum) the greater the mass n velocity the higher the momentum of impact. Child seats on the 3rd row without seatbelt on, also headroom is small on the 3rd row. . From the pix you can imagine what happen to him.

Yeah besides that suv has tire pressure warning and I guess for lack of where to attend to it they probably just decided to keep going in the hope that it would get them to their destination.

Some folks here also said probably the driver and others had their seat belts on but those who died didnt which is also highly probable as the car has front, side and curtain airbags and if they had their belts on it would have restrained their bodies and heads from continuous blunt force trauma as the car was somersaulting and the minister wouldn't have been ejected from the vehicle. This was a totally avoidable mess.
