Breaking News: Court Orders FCT Minister To Be Jailed by jchima14: 8:49pm On Mar 07, 2016
An application seeking to enforce a judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja committing the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory to prison for disobedience of court order has been made to Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase. Adekunle Otitoju, lawyer to one Stella Oyedotun, whose property was unduly revoked and allocated to one Senator Umaru Dukku by the then FCT Minister, said the judgement given by Justice Mohammed Talba since July 8, 2015 is yet to be enforced.

Justice Talba had last year ordered that the minister be committed to Kuje prison for the offence. The court had on February 20, 2013 ruled against the Minister ordering him to make alternative plot available to the plaintiff within 30 days of the judgement. The court also awarded a cost of N200, 000 against the minister.

So which minister will be jailed? Nigeria had no minister in July 2015 when the order was due to the fact gej cabinet had been dissolved and PMB was yet to appoint his ministers.
The order at best was just an academic exercise as it couldn't be enforced as at the time it was made, the judge wasn't guided in his judgement.
Asking the IG to implement the order is just an exercise in futility
