WhatsApp is now rolling out an update for the Android and iOS versions of the app that adds document sharing. More specifically, PDF sharing. Although the signs have been here for months, but the feature has just started rolling out to users over the past several hours.

You can now press the attachment sharing button to see the option to attach documents. On Android it will show your file manager to attach any local PDF files you may have. On iPhone, it will let you attach files from other storage apps, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

How it works
To share files, users need to tap the attachment icon on the top right of the screen, hit the ‘Document’ option and select from the list of PDFs on your phone.

And to use the feature, both the sender and receiver must be on the same version of WhatsApp.

Only a few people are aware of this new update. You too can be part of the good life.
