The attention of the NYSC Management has been drawn to a statement purportedly issued at the instance of the Director-General that final clearance for 2015 Batch 'A' Corps members holds from 15th to 18th March, 2016 after which they are to proceed on a 3-week terminal leave. Management notes with serious concern that the statement, issued by one Matt Buhari Nzekanze, who claims to be Special Assistant to the DG on publicity, is already being shared among Corps members, especially through WhatsApp. We wish to warn that the statement is not from the National Youth Service Corps and should, therefore, be disregarded. For the avoidance of doubt, the said Matt Buhari Nzekanze is not a member of staff of the NYSC, but obviously a mischief maker who is out to create confusion among patriotic and law-abiding members of the service corps. Management further wishes to inform Corps members of the 2015 Batch 'A' that the time- table for their winding-up and passing-out activities will be unveiled at the appropriate time through credible channels.
