Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Hassan
Dankwambo yesterday descended hard on
the opposition All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Gombe State for prosecuting the
case against his election up to the Supreme
Court level based on lies and deception.
According to the Dankwambo, who was on
a thank you tour of the state after his
Supreme Court victory, the APC in Gombe
had prosecuted the case based on lies and
deception after clearly conceding defeat
after the April 2015 Governorship election.
Speaking at the Palace of the Emir of Akko,
Alhaji Mohammed Atiku Mu’azu,
Dankwambo stated that the kind of
opposition exhibited by the APC was the
very dangerous type that would not take
the state anywhere.
He said “taking me to court by the APC from
the election tribunal up to the Supreme
Court was just full of lies and this kind of
opposition breeds enmity which is not
good for the development of Gombe State”.
“This is not what we the people of Gombe
are known for, this kind of negative
opposition has to stop”, he regretted.
He said he followed due process to retain
the mandate of the people and therefore
expressed his gratitude on behalf of all PDP
contestants who stood for election in 2015
from former President Goodluck Jonathan
downwards.
In his remarks, the Emir of Akko, Alhaji
Mohammed Atiku Mu’azu acknowledged the
developmental strides of Dankwambo in his
Emirate which has resulted in opening over
half of their villages with roads and
electricity.
He however decried the return of activities
of restive youths in the area known as
yankalare, and called on the state
government to initiate more youth
development programmes.

APC has a lot of loose ends in this administration, I just hope that God will open their eyes to see what is going on in this country. I don't think the president is ready.
The fact that he failed thrice and hoped to fail again on this last one because of the power of incumbency, it sort of made him quite unprepared for this. His advisers should assist him.
APC has turned to wailers.
