Because the successive useless Nigerian governments have made it so based on the notion that "Abuja is in the North and so only a Northerner can be the FCT minister". |

It is something I have noticed as well. I thought it was created as a nuetral capital? If it is going to be monopolised then it should be by the local indigenes (Gwaris), not northerners. |

Abuja is a federal capital territory and so everybody from Igbos, yorubas and hausa should be given a chance to govern. |

@Poster It is because the Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri and Nupe are detribalized, not overly aggressive, do not like money, will prostrate before the so-called minority in the jungle called Nigeria, definitely do not womanize and do not partake in the oldest known trade to human. |

@dede1 not overly aggressive, do not like money, will prostrate before the so-called minority in the jungle called Nigeria, definitely do not womanize and do not partake in the oldest known trade to human. I beg to disgree with the attribute you have credited to our northern clansmen. The most corrupt men in nigeria are in or have being in the military [they are now the clowns in Canopies called politicians and most of them are from our clansmen from the NORTH EXAMPLE ABACHA, IBB ETC SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE NIGERIA COMICAL ENCLAVE THE FOLLOWING INSTITUTIONS TOP POSITIONS HAVE BEING HELD THE OUR FRIENDS FROM THE NORTH WHERE THEY PERCIEVE THERE IS MONEY. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE NORTH BUT WE MUST PAY ATTENTION TO ISSUES LIKE THIS IF WE AS A NATION MUST MOVE FORWARD 1. PRESIDENCY 2. NNPC 3.PETROLEUM MINISTRY 4. PETROLEUM TRUST FUND 5.ANYTHING WITH OIL CONNECTED . 6 DEFENCE MINISTRY 7. AGENDAS ARE MORE THAN 7 |

Dede1: mikeansy: mikeansy, your post is disappointing. One would have thought by now, you would have understood that when Dede1's post is not overly complex and doesn't require the consultation of dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other research materials, it would have to contain some sort of sarcasm. Rumours has it that Dede1 is Ojukwu himself. Read between the lines, he knows too much. |

Because other Regions are still sleeping. B4 we wake up, oil our resources would have been transfered to the north artificially. |

@OP, a more appropriate question should be "Who appoints ministers and were the appointments in violation of any law or constitutional provision?" |
